There is a new patch out for World of Warcraft that allows the world to bring about a major change that can make the game more exciting. Patch 4.3.2 will enable cross-realm raids according to Blizzard. Players can ask Real ID friends to join them in forming cross-real parties that can go off together on raids. The new raid functionality allows you to use the Raid Finder to go right into a classic dungeon, for example. You can also automatically join and instance through this new feature. A new update that does not consist of bug fixes but actually comes with gameplay development is a pleasant surprise that deserves a warm welcome.
However, the update is not perfect yet. For example, it has been announced that you won’t be able to run either normal or Heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm raids yet. I guess that Blizzard already has a fix to consider. A separate patch note talks about different types of class balance fixes and general fixes. So, the update is not just about the cross-realm raiding.
The patch is already available in public test realms. Blizzard wants you to try it once and for all and to leave feedback as much as possible. Your feedback will be very helpful in helping the developer zero in on some of the most important aspects that the team should be addressing for the next update.
What do you think about updates? Do you look forward to them or are you just a little bit wary when a new one is ready for download? I cannot blame you if you are the latter because many updates have turned out disappointing and even game-breaking. The new World of Warcraft patch, however, sounds as if it only needs a few more tweaks on the next update and it could be considered a good one.
